In the beginning …     Peter and Mariah had 12 children. Their names were: Liza McAllister Morrison, Chester McAllister, Frank McAllister, Essie McAllister, Nelson McAllister, Atline McAllister McCoy, Todd McAllister, Nancy McAllister Blue, James McAllister, Gus McAllister, Johnny McAllister and Tommie McAllister.   In November 1918 the family moved from RobesonCounty to ScotlandCounty in North Carolina. Novella McPherson died in October 1923 at the age of 39. The same year Frank McAllister married Luvenia Murphy. As a united family they lived together for 38 years. Luvenia Murphy died on October 2, 1961. She was 75 years old.   For many years after her death, Frank lived with several of his children. They gave him much love and attention all of his life.
